Logo Sheet for the Halyard Multimedia Engine

 [Up to Gallery]

One of several sheets of logos presented to the Interactive Media Laboratory at Dartmouth Medical School for the re-branding of the open source multimedia development engine, Halyard (previously called 'Tamale').

Based on the elements of the nautical source of the name, the logo's key shapes were kept simple and only 2 colors were used because a version would be developed for use as a 16 x 16 pixel computer icon. The logo can also be printed in a single color.

The final version that was selected is at upper left. Note the Mizzen logo at bottom center, which was an exploration of the signal flag concept seen at bottom left.
